Child Care

Our Philosophy

New Dawn Child Care Center’s goal is to focus on the development of the “whole child”. Our program is designed to aid children in all areas of development: physical, emotional, social and intellectual. Children are taught with love and respect in a warm, family-like atmosphere. We strive to help each child develop self-confidence and a positive self-image.
Child Care Staff

The center’s experienced, professional staff includes a director and teachers with degrees in education or related fields. All staff members meet or exceed state requirements for continuing education in such areas as first aid, communicable disease recognition, child abuse recognition and child development.
Infant Program

With an objective of creating an atmosphere of love and confidence, we recognize that each child is unique with a unique schedule. Every effort is made to incorporate each child’s home schedule into their routine at the center. During infant waking hours, they will exercise, socialize and learn in proportion to age.
Toddler Program

During the toddler years children are learning social interaction with their peers. Therefore, this program features: action games, art, songs, stories, music, outside play and muscle development.
Pre-School Program

Our pre-kindergarten programs are designed for children four and five years old. Our curriculum is developmentally based, focusing on each child’s individual social, emotional and intellectual needs. We strive to enhance each child’s curiosity and love for learning. Children are exposed to a variety of activities including creative art, literature, science, pre-math, music, language development and large and small motor skills.
School Age / Latch Key Program

Our school-age program consists of a before and after school latchkey program during the school year and a “Summer Fun” program during the summer months. These programs provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children inĀ kindergarten through age 12.
Nutrition

A well balanced daily menu provides food from the basic food groups. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack in the morning and afternoon are available to the children.
